Technical Sales Specialist Medical
Ducor Petrochemicals is looking to further strengthen our commercial and technical team with a Technical Sales Specialist who can support the further development and commercialisation of our medical polypropylene grades within the healthcare and life science industries, through our DuCareÒ brand.
Ducor Petrochemicals specializes in the production and marketing of polypropylene, polyethylene and polyolefin products, for use in a wide range of applications, such as healthcare and life sciences, automotive & EV, electrical appliances, textiles, packaging materials, household items, etc. With the Ducare product range, we enable secure, long-term stable polypropylene solutions for Healthcare and Life Science applications (ISO 13485 certified).
Ducor characterizes itself as an informal, flat organization with short lines where you will be able to make a real difference in developing and growing a key sector for the long term strategy. With a team of approximately 100 employees working at our plant in Rozenburg, we can delivery turn-key solutions to the market, faster than any other polymer producer.
The Role
As the Technical Sales Specialist for our Ducare product range, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of product performance and quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Product Development: Lead the development of new medical polypropylene products, from concept through to commercialization, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and customer needs.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to customers and internal teams, addressing any issues related to product performance and application.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure products meet stringent medical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that enhance product performance and usability.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new product development and improvements to existing products.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.
- Brand & Business development – identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with key brand-owners OEMs, specifiers and buyers in the Medical (device) Industry.
- Pipeline and opportunity management – Development of new opportunities for our range of DuCareÒ products, as well as the broader Ducor portfolio. This includes a constant filling of the opportunity pipeline and turning these into ongoing business, in cooperation with the commercial team.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for customers and internal teams on the application and benefits of medical polypropylene products.
Your Profile
This role requires a strong background in polymer science, particularly polypropylene, and a deep understanding of medical product development and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential to effectively manage customer relationships and drive product innovation. Furthermore, you have at least a completed bachelor's degree in, for example, engineering or materials science. Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA regulations is a plus.
