Sales & Development Manager Medical
Ducor Petrochemicals is looking for a dynamic, pro-active and results-oriented Sales & Development Manager, to drive the growth of our medical polypropylene grades within the healthcare and life science industries, through our DuCareÒ brand.
Ducor Petrochemicals specializes in the production and marketing of polypropylene, polyethylene and polyolefin products, for use in a wide range of applications, such as healthcare and life sciences, automotive & EV, electrical appliances, textiles, packaging materials, household items, etc. With the DucareÒ product range, we enable secure, long-term stable polypropylene solutions for Healthcare and Life Science applications (ISO 13485 certified).
Ducor characterizes itself as an informal, flat organization with short lines where you will be able to make a real difference in developing and growing a key sector for the long term strategy. With a team of approximately 100 employees working at our plant in Rozenburg, we can delivery turn-key solutions to the market, faster than any other polymer producer.
The Role
In the position of Sales & Development Manager Medical you are responsible for broader positioning of our DuCareÒ medical polypropylene brand and products in the Medical & Healthcare industry and you will motivate and drive the resources at your disposal. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Brand & Business development – identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with key brand-owners OEMs, specifiers and buyers in the Medical (device) Industry.
- Pipeline and opportunity management – development of new opportunities for our range of DuCareÒ products, as well as the broader Ducor portfolio. This includes a constant filling of the opportunity pipeline and turning these into ongoing business.
- Sales Management - oversee the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring that sales targets are met.
- Market Knowledge & Analysis: Ready to use market knowledge that can be converted to opportunities as well as conducting further and more detailed market research, to identify new opportunities and trends within the healthcare markets.
- Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of Polypropylene grades for the medical and life science industries Gain insight into our medical polypropylene grades, their applications and competitive landscape.
- Advise management on strategic decisions based on macro and micro trends, deep and detailed market analysis and customer insights.
- Foster and support a spirit of collaboration with the sales and product development team, aligning with the broader Ducor team
Your Profile
You have a proven track record in Sales & Development, in the medical healthcare or related industries. Furthermore, you have a deep understanding of the medical polypropylene market and its key players and preferably, established relationships with brand owners and OEMs. Also, you
- hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field;
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- are self-motivated and result driven;
- have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market data into strategic actions;
- preferably have knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to medical devices and;
- are proficient in relevant software applications (CRM, ERP or alike).
