In this position, you report into the Finance Director with whom you work closely to manage and optimize the financial processes within the organization and monitoring the financial integrity. This includes overseeing the financial administration, preparing detailed financial reports and support management with pro-active financial analyses to support decision making. In more detail, your roles and responsibilities comprise:
- Managing all accounting operations including billing, payroll, A/R, A/P, GL transactions and cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Ensuring a reliable and accurate financial administration process including month-end closing.
- Preparing periodic financial reports and coordinating (preparation of) regulatory reporting.
- Monitoring compliance with accounting principles (IFRS) and relevant regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while ensuring the organization meets its tax obligations.
- Developing, documenting, and monitoring business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Researching and solving technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
- Supporting and coordinating internal and external audits.
- Identifying and implementing finance process improvements.
- Coordinating and supporting the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Overseeing financial systems and managing external providers for systems maintenance and upgrades.
- Mentoring and developing Finance colleagues to foster professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for an experienced finance professional with approximately 10 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, either in a comparable position or at a Big 4 accounting firm. Additionally, you:
- Hold an accounting qualification (RA / ACCA / CPA) and have up-to-date IFRS knowledge (both are must-haves).
- Are fluent in Dutch and English.
- Have thorough knowledge of tax rules and regulations.
- Are proficient in Exact and MS Office.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to interpret financial data and support informed decision-making. Your excellent communication and reporting skills allow you to present complex financial data clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. With a proactive mindset, you anticipate challenges, suggest improvements, and contribute to continuous process enhancements. As a team player, you thrive in a dynamic and evolving business environment. You are adaptable, solutions-oriented, and resilient under changing circumstances.
