Privacy Policy Statement Ducor Petrochemicals

We are Ducor Petrochemicals B.V. (hereinafter “Ducor” or “we”/”us”). We are specialised in the production of polypropylene, polyethylene and polyolefin products. Like many other organisations, we process personal data; data that can be directly or indirectly traced back to an individual. With this privacy policy statement, we want to inform persons who do not belong to our organisation about this. Among other things, we process personal data from:

  • candidates;
  • persons who submit a contact request;
  • persons who wish to receive our newsletter;
  • visitors to our offices or other locations;
  • (representatives or contact persons of) our suppliers or customers (including former customers and potential customers);
  • persons who visit our website, in as far as they can be traced.

How do we collect personal data?

We collect personal data amongst others because you provide it to us yourself, for example by filling out an application form on our website, visiting our website, submitting a contact request, or because you have indicated that you wish to receive our newsletter, or because you (directly or indirectly) sign a contract with us, for example because you are a supplier or customer, or work for a supplier or customer.

When you fill in a form on our website, you are required to fill in the fields marked with an * (asterisk). When applying for a job, you are obliged to provide the requested information. The consequence of not filling in these fields or providing certain information may be that we are unable to fulfil certain obligations or that we will not process certain requests.

Our website may contain links to third party websites. These third parties are themselves responsible for the handling of personal data. Please consult the relevant privacy policy statements they use for more information.

Which personal data do we collect?

The types of data we collect will depend on the interaction you have with us. If you are a contact person of a customer or supplier with whom we enter into a contract or if you request a quote on behalf of your company, we will often only process your name, position, and signature.

If you apply for a job, we will process the following personal data about you, among other things:

  • first and last name;
  • address;
  • e-mail address;
  • telephone number;
  • date of birth;
  • information regarding your studies/trainings;
  • qualifications; and
  • information regarding your driver’s licence.

When you fill in the application form on our website, we also collect your CV, motivation letter and language knowledge.

If you are a visitor to our facilities/locations, we collect, among other things:

  • name
  • function
  • purpose of the visit
  • information about your identity
  • camera images where you are (possibly) filmed.

Principles

We may process your personal data based on six different legal principles:

  • with your prior written consent;
  • to prepare and execute a contract we will conclude with you, or of which you are party;
  • to comply with a legal obligation;
  • to protect your ‘vital interest’ (this is exceptional);
  • because of the need to process personal data for the performance of a task of general interest;
  • because of our ‘legitimate interests’ or those of the organisation with which we (can) share your personal data, provided that these interests do not disproportionately affect your privacy.

Legitimate interests: what are they?

We are legally obliged to explain what our legitimate interests are. Our legitimate interests include, but are not limited to: marketing, advertising, name recognition for the organisation, communication about news, events and developments, IT management and security, camera surveillance, visitor registration, reorganisation, screening of candidates, research and analysis of own products or services, day-to-day business, legal matters, internal management.

Purposes and principles for the processing of personal data

We process your personal data for the following purposes, described below, and based on the principles set out therein:

  • service providers who provide communication and IT services, such as hosting providers;
  • assessment agencies that screen and test candidates;
  • parties who assist us, because of our legitimate interests, in our production and services and who are not processors (e.g. accountants and (legal) advisors);
  • parties who organise safety and security for us, for example for our installations and facilities;
  • authorities initiating enforcement activities, including investigative bodies, regulators or other third parties, if we are legally obliged to do so; and
  • entities within the BAZAN Group.

Sharing with third parties

Personal data may, for the purposes mentioned above, be shared with/seen by:

  • service providers who provide communication and IT services, such as hosting
  • providers;
  • assessment agencies that screen and test candidates;
  • parties who assist us, because of our legitimate interests, in our production and services and who are not processors (e.g. accountants and (legal) advisors);
  • parties who organise safety and security for us, for example for our installations and facilities;

  • entities within the BAZAN Group.

The transfer of personal data to the above third parties will only take place to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations.

Some of the third parties we engage qualify as ‘processors’ (e.g. hosting service providers). Agreements are made with such parties in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics. Through Google Analytics we obtain information about the number of people that visit our website, the pages of our website visited most, and other information that we can use to improve our website. Transfer outside the EEA

Because we are an international company, personal data for the purposes stated in this privacy policy statement are sometimes transferred to recipients located in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example Israel. If this is the case, we take all necessary measures, such as concluding a model contract or contracting with parties subject to an approved certification mechanism, to legally transfer personal data to such countries. Your rights

we keep about you, for what purposes we do so, and you have the right to inspect these data. In addition, you have the right to rectification and data portability and you can ask us to delete your data. In certain cases, you have the right to object to processing operations based on our legitimate interest. If you have given your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, which will stop the processing in question from that moment on. Finally, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against loss, destruction, damage, alteration or disclosure. Storage period

In principle, we do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were obtained and to comply with our legal obligations. This generally means that your personal data will be kept as long as one of the following situations applies:

  • your personal data are necessary because we still need to contact you, for example during the application process;
  • your personal information is necessary to protect and defend our rights and property (normally for the duration of the applicable legal prescription period); or
  • we are required by applicable laws and regulations to retain your personal information, such as tax laws, in which case there is often a period of 7 years from the end of our relationship with you/your company.

Changes to this Privacy Policy Statement

We may change or supplement this privacy policy statement unilaterally. We announce these changes if we are obliged to do so.
